BRAND: LEGNANO Sport, 50s
Dannata 'Bruciata' on a 1950s Legnano Sport chassis. The livery of this Dannata is typical of the frames built in the post-war period, when the alloys differed from those of the past, resulting in a lighter metallic colour than its bigger sisters. The chrome fork, not original, but coeval, marks a small sign of contrast in a Dannata that is rather uniform in the choice of chromatic elements assembled around the frame, from the earth-coloured tyres, through the handlebar grips, to the saddle.
Original 1950s Legnano Sport frame, branded Legnano and coeval, but from other frames are the headset, bottom bracket and crankset, and front hub. 2-piece fold + steel stem handlebar (or alternative) with maroon fabric knobs, 28" oxidised mod. R rims with 700x35c earth coloured tyres (or alternative). Vintage Brooks B17 saddle (or alternative), one-speed coaster (or alternative).
