TAURUS 19 40's bicycle

DESCRIPTION

Damned "Oxidized" on Taurus frame model 19, early '40s. Damned top of the range for the construction features of this frame produced by the renowned brand born in Germany, but Italian and Milanese by adoption. Unlike other Damned Taurus, in this more recent model the legendary teardrop tubes of the rear triangle are thinner in section, especially in the upper part, giving the frame great aesthetic finesse. Other goodies are the invisible joint welds in every node, the 40mm mc bell and the expander seat tube, the latter to lighten the line even more thanks to the lack of a collar or seat node. Very elegant.

TECHNICAL ELEMENTS

Original frame + fork, along with the headset. Damned the rest: 40 mm mc Thompson groupset, 42 tooth two-piece Maino crankset, oxidized 28" sport rims on which 700x38c cream tires are mounted, the front hub with grease nipple, the handmade expander tube. The handlebar is handmade Dannata (or alternative), with fabric grips. To close the omnipresent Brooks b17 brown (or alternative) and the single speed (or alternative) coaster brake system.
